Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need a driver’s license to register for the course?

No, you don’t need a license to register. However, you must have a valid G1 license before your first in-car driving lesson.

2. How long is each driving lesson?

Driving lessons range from a minimum of 60 minutes to a maximum of 120 minutes (2 hours).

3. Can the instructor book my road test for me?

Yes, your instructor can book the road test on your behalf upon request.

4. Can I use the instructor’s car for my road test?

Yes, you can use the instructor’s vehicle for your road test. Please coordinate in advance with your instructor. Additional charges will apply.

5. After completing the course, when can I book my road test?

Once you’ve completed the full BDE course and received certification, you can book your road test 8 months afterpassing your G1 written test.

6. What do I need to provide to my insurance company to show that I completed the BDE course?

You will need to request a Driver’s Abstract History from Service Ontario. It will indicate that you have completed the Beginner Driver Education (BDE) program.

7. What does the Beginner Driver Education (BDE) course include?

The BDE course includes 20 hours of online theory, 10 hours of in-car lessons, and 10 hours of homework assignments, as mandated by the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO).

8. In which languages is the course offered?

Our course is available in English, French, Arabic, Chinese, and Spanish.

9. Can I reschedule a lesson if I’m unavailable?

Yes, lessons can be rescheduled with advance notice. Please inform your instructor at least 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees.

10. Is door-to-door pickup available for in-car lessons?

Yes, instructors provide door-to-door pickup and drop-off within your local area.
